It Started With A Grandfather’s Love
Nor Rezan Mohamad Noor is affectionately called Tok Ayah (grandfather in Malay) by his community, and aptly so. When his grandson suffered badly from mosquito bites, he was determined to develop a synthetic-free repellent for the child. With his decades of herbalism expertise, coupled with his access to scientific research and knowledge gained during his tenure as Chief Health Inspector in the Malaysian state of Penang, the formulation to Bye-Bye Nyamuk (mosquito in Malay) was born.
A Family Mission
Requests from family and friends for more all-natural solutions began pouring in. Tok Ayah soon began the mission of replacing every synthetic household product with safe and effective alternatives. His range of formulations quickly expanded to help with many everyday household chores and needs. Tok Ayah’s three children understood the importance of the mission and supported it with the creation of Gramp’s Asia in 2016. The brand name epitomises Tok Ayah’s endeavour: Gramp’s, which means grandfather, and Asia pays tribute to Asian herbalism.
